Dirty, Dirty Scout

Weathered a TB in pastels and dirtied a TD to see if my camera can pick up the subtle detail and it kinda worked out.

I'm not sure why stormies are typically compared by many fans to American troops in Iraq because the role of the Imperial is to subjugate the native population as if they are dumb inbred animals instead of defend them as human beings and worthy of a peaceful life.


Right gauntlet on this one looks like dried mud instead of sand...but then I'm not entirely sure what dried sand looks like in 1/18th.

Overused Universe

Star Wars designs are starting to pile up way too much tech. Look at the smuggler gear from the KOTOR MMO even despite the fact this starter equipment is built up on Han Solo's vest and pants like Solo was wearing some kind of armor. Sure Lando wore a spare vest from the Falcon's footlocker at the end of ESB but why do all smugglers have to look the same? Anyway I'm sure it's fine to the video game but most of my customs don't have any more than a flightsuit, bandoleer and blaster.

Poggle the Ewok

I am Poggle Warrior Chief. I believe in the Old Life in the way people lived before the days of darkness, the time hollow beasts roamed the Great Forrest. But I believe the hard skins of the beasts can be used to make tools because when they have been shaped they last longer and make better stone. I believe this has led to New Life after many, many Sons, and that is why I think it is important.

I use the Spear that was made of the New Stone and shaped by the New Flame of the beasts. With this Spear I have lead many hunts and fed many families with the Good Meat from animals that have been cut by the Spear of New Stone and New Flame. I believe it was Big Force that led the New Stone Beast to the Forrest. So we can learn many new ways but not forget Old Life in the ways that it was Good.

Storm Commandos

Biker Scouts operate in four-man teams called lances when they patrol on their speeder bikes. Storm Commandos would do the same if the mission requires it and pack additional firepower in a direct action scenario.

These scouts were painted with Dupli-Color HVP106 Flat Black and armed with pulse rifles from Marauder "Gun-Runners."

Republic Commando Heavy Blaster Gunner

I'm not exactly talented when painting straight lines so I drybrushed the heck out of this guy. When in doubt about what colors to repaint with, go with the silver&black.


I had an extra Scorch and a GIJoe minigun so I turned the pack upside down and unleashed the black spray paint. I'll just say the gas packs are the same size for the heavy blaster as for the flame thrower to justify the can on his leg.

Rebel Captain Dent Farborne

A quick repaint of the 25th Anniversary Flint, with blast vest and carbine from a Rebel Trooper from the battlepack with the Vader and Stormtroopers.

All GIJoe parts, don't ask me which ones, I started this figure four years ago as a ninja leader but never finished it. I'll try to have him added to an FFURG Casting Call if he fits into one.

Updated 9/19: I renamed him for a film studio David Prowse work for before he hit it big as Vader. I just read that a minute ago in the SW Insider.

Twi'lek Rebel

She's Aayla Secura reapinted then armed with a carbine, GIJoe belt, and orange vest from Greedo. All of those vests you see in Star Wars have some kind of energy resistance that makes them a sort of light ballistics armor. The Twi’lek Name Generator suggests Ardana`shak. I like it!

Rodian Jedi

A hard workin' Rodian Jedi made from a Weequay Jedi (oop...aw well, I'll have to bash a Weequay merc) and a VOTC Greedo.
