Mission Briefing: At Cybloc shadowport the party must find a buyer for their looted cargo and a lead to locate slaver operations on the planet.

Hazard: With a Gather Information check DC 10 players will find Merliz the fence inside a cantina in one of the spaceport's slum areas. Merliz estimated that he doesn't have enough money with him to buy the cargo immediately but he offers to pay the PCs 2,000c extra if he may have their services for the night in the cantina. Once the job is completed Merliz can also offer the location of the next settlement slavers are expected to raid.

For the evenings' festivities Merliz has scheduled a high stakes sabacc game with Boss S'lag, a contemptible Twi'lek spaceport security captain for whom no one will care if he loses a sum of bad credits. There is of course no way Boss S'lag can win the night's card game because Merliz has the sabacc table rigged in his favor. S'lag will have a few thugs with him and the PCs' job will be to throw them out of the cantina if necessary.

Encounter: After his fifth losing hand Boss S'lag will stand up and accuse Merliz of cheating and instruct his thugs to teach him a lesson. The four thugs (use Security Officer p.122 Scum and Villainy) will attack with stun batons while S'lag (use Security Specialist p.122 Scum and Villainy) pulls a blaster on Merliz (use Fixer p.120 Scum and Villainy).

Resolution: Take whatever actions necessary to save Merliz. Afterward Merliz will thank the players for their services, buys their loot the next morning at their ship for 500,000c and gives them the location of the next enslavement raid.
