CNS Still Harping the Maker

Star Wars director George Lucas "fully supports President Obama's approach to the current economic problem” and thinks that the salaries of bailed-out bank executives should be capped, according to his spokesperson, who added that Lucas also thinks "rich" people should pay higher tax rates than people who are not rich.

Wow, there are lies and then there are absolute whoppers.

Of course you're going to get different results when you ambush George Lucas with questions he wasn't prepared for then later call his office to beg for a form letter response typeset in lockstep with the usual California legalese bullcrap language from a fracken intern.

I still think GL humbles himself. Would he really go on strike marching in protest for more money like Hollywood phonies if he thought society no longer appreciated him? Atlas Shrugged:

"men of the mind" to go on strike, refusing to contribute their inventions, art, business leadership, scientific research, or new ideas of any kind to the rest of the world. Each man of ability eventually reasons (or is convinced) that society hampers him with unnecessary, burdensome regulations and undervalues his contributions to the world, confiscating the profits and sullying the reputations he has rightfully earned.

"The peaceful cohesiveness of the world begins to disintegrate as each of these men of ability slowly disappears and society loses those individuals whose mental effort allows it to continue functioning. The strikers believe that they are crucial to a society that exploits them, denying them freedom or failing to acknowledge their right to self-interest, and the gradual collapse of civilization is triggered by their strike."

I think he's smarter than that, that's why he removed himself from the Hollywood caste system and he just has his own belief system which in itself is not harmful once you take away the allure of liberal “compassion.”

"This is not to say that they believed that giving the creators their due would cost civilization. Rather, the strikers believe that the current irrational altruist/collectivist culture impeded them and therefore the rest of society as well."

GL has the freedom to believe in Marxism if he wants but somebody go outreach and speak with him about those dangers inherent instead of sticking him with an ipod mic so talk radio can mess with him.

On Friday’s Mark Levin Show, Hollywood produces left-wing millionaires that put down the very society that produces their status.

Mark Levin and blogs try to light him up but he still sees himself as an entrepreneur which really isn't that much of an omission because he sticks to that business plan for everything and loans out the rights for his imagination giving fans the chance to play in the sandbox. If his politics aren't realistic and everyone already knows he's liberal why hound him for sound bytes like vultures? Should Lucas be removed from philanthropy because he's naive? If you don't like Star Wars just don't watch it.

Has he really contributed that much to socialism as we're now facing, when none of these articles mention any dollar signs except when calling GL a hypocrite for making billions. Because the Obama admin has reduced the transparency and will of the people in government talk radio and news outlets stand on a precipice. Under soft tyranny will they choose to go after the easy targets smeared all over TMZ or continue the fight for conservative leadership? It's their choice to make but make no mistake this is slippery slope of its own. Idiots get your act together and focus on philanthropic transparency anti-ACORN style instead of hounding for sound bytes to paste on your blog.
